He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklyn Wilbert Haines and Pearl Mae Stevens; his former wife Barbara Audrey Haines of Halifax; and his brother Roy Haines. He is survived by: his wife Rita "Shirley" Jones of Amherst; his children, Timothy Haines (Mary) of Truro, Jason Haines (Elaine) of Halifax, Jeffery Haines (Charmaine) of Bridgewater and Susan Haines of Halifax; and his brother Wayne Haines (Rhoda) of Bridgewater. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren as well as nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Franklyn's memory to the Northumberland Hall, Amherst or to the First Baptist Church, Amherst.
