She was predeceased by: her parents, Clair and Irene (George Saunders); her brother Robert Blackett; her siblings-in-law, Astrid, Estelle Saunders, James Saunders and Jean; her close friend Eanis Collins; her nieces, Karen and Barbara Anne; and her great grandchild Ashley.
She is survived by: her children, Joan (Alan Gibson) of Truro, David (Linnea) of Gainsville, Florida and Bruce (Diana) of Amherst; her grandchildren, Clair, Sarah of England, Dr. Neil Saunders (Sarah) of Georgia, Paul Saunders of Utah, Alex Gibson (Sarah) of Newfoundland, Angus Gibson (Rachel) of Halifax, Andrew Gibson of Quebec, AJ of Truro and Celine; her niece Catherine Epstein (Michael) of Vancouver; her nephew Jamie Saunders (Gayle) of Halifax; and her friend Edie Purdy of Amherst. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
