Ellen Estella Gouchie Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Estella Gouchie of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in River Philip, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 13, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry David Crowe and Adeline Mae Crowe (MacArthur) of Collingwood, NS.; her husband Oland Robert Gouchie (Ollie); and her son Darrell Charles David Wood (Dave). She is survived by: her children, Charlene Arseneau Reid (Brent) of Lakelands, NS, Cheryl Wood (Keith) of Joggins, NS and Percy Gouchie (Michelle) of Eastern Passage, NS.; her stepchildren, Robert Gouchie (Sharon) of Shubenacadie, NS, Pam Loga (Stephen) of Moncton, NB and Glenda Rudder (Ian) of Kingston, ON.; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve), Ryan Patrick (Katelyn), Ryan Arthur, Cory, Jeffery, Jordon, Garrett, Zachery and Cassandra; her stepgrandchildren, Andria, Tara, Kelli, Cassi, Brittany Loga, Brittney MacDonald, Bethany and Rachel; and her siblings, Myrna MacPhee of Amherst, NS, Roberta Adshad (Bert), Diana Sicard, Stella Crowe, Hennie Crowe (England), Marion Mills, Gordon Crowe (Bud), Judy White and Jim Crowe. She is also survived by Many Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Great-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and extended family.

Due to COVID-19 provincial guidelines, everyone 12 and over will be required to show proof of double vaccination as well as government ID to attend the visitation and funeral mass.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Ellen's memory to Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
