She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell Jardine and Charlotte Jardine; her siblings, Robert, Paul Jardine of Fredericton and Jean Cochrane of Ottawa; her husbands, Bill Douglas and Robert Purdy of Amherst; and her son William Douglas.

She is survived by: her children, John William Jr., Helen Charlotte and Carrie Anne; her sons-in-law, Ron and Jose; her stepchildren, Margaret, Malcolm, Darlene, Michael and Kathy; her grandchildren, Tom, Julia, Michael of Victoria, Sara, Lisa of Halifax, Amy, Emily of Halifax, Natatlie of Amherst and Tory of Linden, WA.; her nieces and nephews, Linda, Joanne, Cheryl, Heather, Trudi, Terry and Bradley; and her cousin Janet (Joanne McKay).

Donations can be made in her memory to the Cumberland Health Care Authority, The Cumberland County VON or the Canadian Red Cross.
