He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Collins and Velma Collins (Johnson); his wives, Barbara Estabrooks and Marlene Thomas; his daughter Sherry Collins; and his brother Ralph Webber.

He is survived by: his son James (Violet) of Porters Lake, NS; his close friend Emily Saunders; and his grandchildren, Michelle, Tammy and Jimmy. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
