He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Snick and Lora Van Snick; his wife Jean MacAskill; and his sister Marilyn MacLean. He is survived by: his children, Sarah (John Walden), David, Katie of Leighton Buzzard, England, Rod of Halifax, Declyn and Nolan; and his siblings, Richard (Sabrina), Gary (Brenda) and Loretta (Frank). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
