He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Hawkes and Martha Hawkes (Richards). He is survived by: his wife Beatrice (Lowther); his children, Paul (Peggy) of Amherst Head, Ronald (Susan) of Amherst Head, Larry (Leota) of Amherst Head, Terry (Karen) of Amherst Head and Sherry Allen (Hugh) of Gulf Shore; and his grandchildren, Theresa, Tracey, Jason, Jamie, Melissa, Lyndsey, Tanya, Angela, Miranda, Katelynn, Kathleen, Shaeleen and Jaycee. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial contributions in Doug's memory can be made to the Cumberland Hospice Palliative Care Society or the Warren Baptist Church.
