He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Woodford Carter and Minnie Honora (Lorimer); his sister Jean Cochrane; and his wife Eileen. He is survived by: his children, Patricia, Donald (Lynn), Claude (Chris), James (Regina) and David (Dorval); his grandchildren, John Douglas, Lindsay, Jill, Alex, Ashley, Aleesa, Kaitlyn, Kimberly, Neil and Glen; and his great grandchildren, Huck, William, Abraham, Sadie, Ida, Maya, Brady, Adelyn, Emilie, Matheo, Olivia and Elodie.
