Doris Bernice Shannon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Bernice Shannon of Amherst, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel MacKenzie and Eileen MacKenzie (Benjamin); her husband Lawrence; her siblings, Linda, Faye, Sonny, Ernest (Evelyn), Jimmy (Christine) and Billy; and her brothers-in-law, Brian Deegan, Dave O'Blenis, Art Tower, Vaughn Gould and Bob Everill.
She is survived by: her children, Sandi Doiron (Paul) of Grand Barachois, NB, Betty Ann Moore (John) of Linden, NS, Nancy Perry (Brian) and Pat (Becky) of Onslow Mountain, NS; her grandchildren, Travis, Tiffiney, Chelsea, Timmy, Kiana, Mitchell, Nick, Sydney, Shannon, Shawn, Jessica, Ethan, Justin and Jacob; her great grandchildren, Sadie, Greyson and Lucas; her siblings, Shirley Tower, Ruth Ann Deegan, Marlene O'Blenis, Bob (Joan) and Gary (Sarah); and her sisters-in-law, Thelma MacKenzie, Marlene Gould and Joyce Everill. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Campbell's Funeral Home (98 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B4).
Donations can be made in Doris' memory to her special place, the Bridge Workshop.
