Devona M. Porter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2020, at the age of 70, Devona M. Porter (Amherst, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Porter and Sarah Porter; and her siblings, Hilda Reid, Gordon Porter and Curtis.

She is survived by: her children, Charlie Rhindress (Heather) of Amherst, Mishell Laubenthal (Trey) of Halifax, Ryan Morris (Emma) of Halifax and Raven Watts (Tim) of Halifax; her grandchildren, Bailey, Adam, Brooklyn, Alex, Spencer, Emerson, Aiden, Lucy and Bridget; and her siblings, Elaine Allen of Dartmouth, Holly Porter of British Columbia, Roy Porter (Joan) of Amherst and Fred Porter (Marilyn) of Amherst.

Covid made the last year of her life particularly difficult, but weekly Zoom calls with her children kept her going.

In lieu of flowers her children ask that you reach out to someone in your life to offer forgiveness, understanding and love.
