He was predeceased by: his parent Charles Haynes; his daughter Holly; and his siblings, Arthur, Eugene, John, Douglas and Dulcie.

He is survived by: his parent Edith Haynes; his spouse Doris-Mae Bridge; his children, Kimberly DeWitt of Sooke, BC, Bruce (Marlene) of Grande Prairie, AB and Mark (Amanda) of Kelowna, BC; his sister Dorothy of Halifax; and also Tidnish Bridge. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
