She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald (Gerry) and Evangeline; her sister Sandra; and her son Shane. She is survived by: her husband Charles (Charlie); her sons, Mark (Halifax) and Gregory (Amherst); her sister Barbara Marshe Amati; her brother-in-law Marco Amati; her nieces and nephews, Angela and Matteo (Sydney); her brother Paul; her sister-in-law Celeste Sulliman; her nephews, Matthew and Bryan (Fall River); her brother William (Bill); and her sister-in-law Lizete Machado (Toronto).

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Debra's memory can be made to the Cumberland YMCA, Canadian Cancer Society or CNIB.
