He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Hood and Jennie Hood (Campbell). He is survived by: his child Chalice; his wife Barbara Hood of Amherst; his sisters, Diana Rauh of New Glasgow, NS and Mary Elizabeth Sutherland; and his niece Lisa Keeping (Doug Brown).
