He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Hunter and Grace Hunter (Harding). He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his children, Amanda Hunter, Derek Hunter (Jill), Logan Hunter (Katie) and Cory Hunter (Ashley); his grandchildren, Brian, Maggie, Katelyn, Reese, Ben, Hudson, Faith and Kensley; and his siblings, Garry (Peggy), Mark, Bill (Jane) and Dean (Marion). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made in Dale's memory to the Cumberland Cancer Assistance Fund or the Diabetes Association.
