He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Walker and Jean Walker (Guislian); his stepson Carl "Randy" Mitchell; and his siblings, Carl, Danny, Johnny, Helen and Rosie.

He is survived by: his wife Maxine; his children, Steven Walker (Diana) and Jean Cormier (Matthew); his stepdaughter Debbie Mitchell; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden Walker, Jessica and Spencer Fraser; his stepgranddaughter Megan Mitchell; his great grandchild Lily Rose Fraser; and his siblings, Gerald (Maxine Hunter), Jane Pettigrew (Donald) and Mary Walker.
