He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric and Mary (Humphrey). He is survived by: his wife Cathy (Laybolt); his daughters, Jennifer Humphrey-Blackmore (Chad) of Ottawa, ON and Natalie Miller (George); his granddaughter Alelia Miller; and his siblings, Bruce Humphrey (Sheila) of Yellowknife, NWT, Gerry Morine (Mona) of Kentville, Glen Morine (Cheryl) of Centerville, NS, Corine Davis (James) of New Minas, NS, Adeena Stevens (Richard) of Kentville, NS and Jill Morine (Jim) of Kentville, NS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Carl's memory may be made to the LA Animal Shelter or the Cumberland Hospice Palliative Care Society.
