He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Rose and Agnes Rose (Gould); and his sisters, Helen, Beatrice and Thelma.

He is survived by: his wife Jean (Milner); his children, Cliff (Joanne) and Joyce Sponagle (Jim); his grandchildren, Mark (Jacki), Karen (Steve), Matthew (Emelie) and Timothy (Jill); and his great grandchildren, Mary, Jean, Darwin, Sadie, Nyah and Holly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
