She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Lawless and Helen A. Lawless (Noiles); her husband Clyde Elliott; and her grandson Matthew Landry. She is survived by: her children, Debra Landry of Amherst, Nancy Giffin (Michael) of Amherst, Monique Yurkiw (Tom) of Amherst, Tammy (Jeff) of Amherst, Theresa Elliott (George) of Amherst, Crystal Chitty (Jared) of Amherst, Clyde Jr. (Debbie), Carl (Varlene), Fenwick, Clayton (Linda), Kelowna and Caleb; and her siblings, Marilyn MacDonald (Blair) of Sackville, NB, Tex (Catherine), Stanley (Mary Anne), Trevor (Anne) and Roland (Gail). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, foster children and extended family.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations in Bonita's memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre Palliative Care Unit or the Cumberland Hospice Society.
