With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice Ada Wood of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Salisbury, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 6, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Steeves and Rose Steeves (Gallant); her son Harold Douglas Wood Jr.; her grandson Kevin Jason Kaye; and her siblings, Ruby Randle (Randy), Anne Steeves (Paul) and Wayne Steeves.

She is survived by: her daughters, May Kaye (Kelvin) of Amherst, NS and Joann Carter (Brian); her grandchildren, Lisa Morgan, Mason Carter and Jessica Carter; her great grandchildren, Katie and Justin Morgan; her great great grandchild Drew; and her siblings, June Grinham (Bruce Langel), Shirley Leadbetter (Lloyd), Doris Dickson, Grace Morris (Gary), Ernest Steeves (Cheryl "Lil" Edmunds) and Gary Steeves (Bev). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
