With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Lynn Sutherland Degenstein of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 6, 2023 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Carolyn Sutherland; and her grandparents, Georgeana, Clarence Richard, Thelma and James Sutherland.

She is survived by: her father Donald Sutherland (Rosemary) of Moose River; her children, Nicholas of Amherst, NS and Alexandra of Halifax, NS; her siblings, Stephen Sutherland (Beth) of Spryfield, NS, James Sutherland (Ann) of Summerside, PE, Christine Sutherland of Amherst, NS and Nancy (Steve); and her pet Emori.
