With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Estabrooks (Amherst, Nova Scotia), who passed away on December 18, 2019 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Read and Lillian Read (Smith); her husband Austin Estabrooks; the father of her children Nordby Mattatall; and her siblings, Elaine Bird, Iona Darragh, Shirley Allen and Garnet Read.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Mattatall (Wendy Brown) of Amherst, Jill Yorke (Steve) of Amherst, Sandy Boucher (Bob) of Amherst and Michelle Chitty (Dave) of Amherst; her grandson Jason Mattatall (Amy); her great grandchildren, Kailee, Chelsea, Halle and Keela; her grandchildren, Alisha Chung (Tyler) and Justin Mattatall (Katy); her great grandchildren, Nash and Leo; her grandson Joel Mattatall (Veronique); her great grandchild Eli; her grandchildren, Mitchell Scott (Leah Jones) and Kristina McEachern; her great grandchild Emma; her grandson Joseph McEachern (Carol-Ann); her great grandchildren, Mattalyn and Tanner; her grandchildren, Matthew Yorke (Angele Allain) and Ryan Boucher (Tiffany); her great grandchild Asher; her grandchild Shel Hsieh (John); her great grandchildren, Lucas, Winston, Allison Gagnon (Bradley Hopper) and Alexander Gagnon (Shawn Boyle); her siblings, Douglas Read, Edwin Davis (Gwen), Vivian Wray of Hamilton, ON, Dorothy Archibald (Bob), Fenwick, Althea Forsythe (Richard) and Catherine Raper (Kenneth); her sister-in-law Claudia Hurley (Irvin); her stepmother Pauline E. Read; and also, Hayden and Callie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
