He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Gero and Delma Gero; his sister Lois Graham; his nephews, Toby Graham and Scott Gero; and his parents-in-law, Bernard and Vivian Duguay.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine (Duguay); his stepdaughter Christine Guilderson (Brad); his siblings, Tammy Amherst, Shelley, Oromocto, Richard Dartmouth (Debbie), Byron Edmonton (Ruth) and Raymond Jones; his brothers-in-law, Dwayne (Stephanie) and Bernard (Carrie); his niece Malayna Gero; and his stepgranddaughters, Mya and Hayden Meldrum Southampton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews & cousins.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Al's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
