He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Chapman and Jennie Chapman (Ogden); his wife Florence (MacDonald); his son Phillip; his siblings, Willard Chapman (Jennie) and Jenetta Chappell (Ronald); and his nephew David Chappell.

He is survived by: his nephew Doug Chapman (Ferne); his niece Sarah Wood (Darryl); his great-nephews, Joshua and Jackson; his nephew David Chapman (Laura Shatford); and his close friends, Elaine Falconer (Clarence), Jo-D MacDonald and Sylvia Carter (Gary).
