He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cardy and Elizabeth May Cardy (Smith); his wife Glenna; and his siblings, John and Kathleen.

He is survived by: his sons, Bill Jr., Brian (Cathy), Brad (Edith) and Barry (Theresa); and his grandchildren, Sarah, James, Elizabeth, Seth, Heather, Alex, Erica and Hannah. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
