He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Collins and May Collins; his wife Lynne; his daughter Julia; and his sister Hazel.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Prange (Trevor) of Amherst, Doug Collins (Christina) of Montreal and Allan Collins of Central America; his great grandchildren, Hendrix and Huxley; and his sisters, Valerie (Brian), Virginia and June Cowgill (Parker). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bud's memory to the Ty Watson Hospice House in Port Alberni, BC.
