He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rae and Effie Rae (Forbes); his sisters, Vivian Boehk and Heather Graham; and his brother-in-law Robert Boehk.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Burbine); his sister Beth King of Oshawa; his brother-in-law David Graham; and his aunt Lina Forbes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
