He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Coates and Dorcas Coates; his parents-in-law, Martha and Enos Coates; his son-in-law Donald Coates; and his sister Irene Bauld.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine; his children, Cavell, Joan Nippard (Robert), Gonzo (Sandra), Wayne (Della), Peter (Judy) and Barry (Wanda); his grandchildren, Claudine, Justin, Jamie, Jeremy, Mitchell, Michelle, Michael, Bernice, Amy, Christina and Trevor; his siblings, Nellie, Herbert (Madeline) and Norman (Louise); and his great grandchildren, Rachael, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Sophia, Harrison, Gracie-Lynn, Ace, Abel, Adria, Hayley, Evan, Noah, Daniel, Isabella, Alyssa, Addison, Natisha and Alex.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Harvey's memory may be made to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Wings Point.
