He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jacobs and Pearl Jacobs; his parents-in-law, William and Florence Burton; his brothers, Robert Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs and Churchill Jacobs; and his brothers-in-law, Maxwell Burton, Robert Burton, Harvey Jacobs and Clifford Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Jacobs of Baie Verte, NL; his children, Irene Organ (Bishop John) of Corner Brook, NL, Willis Jacobs (Joanne), Sharon Ricketts (Paul) of Corner Brook, NL, Angela Pike (Paul) of Halifax, NS and Lindsay Jacobs of Westport, NL; his grandchildren, Byron (Valerie), Blair, Zachary (Genevieve), Luke, Sharon, Russell, Angie, Allison and Tim; his great grandchildren, Sophie, Emily, Tyler, Abigail and Fiona Rose; his sister Ethel Jacobs; and his siblings-in-law, Gladys Collins (Christopher), Donald Burton (Eileen), Jessie Rice, Joyce Osmond (Stewart), Fred Burton (Sue), Phyllis Eckford, Ronald Burton (Phoebe), Ida Burton and Lorraine Burton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Public Visitation took place at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Westport, NL on Saturday, July 17th, 2021 from 2:00-5:00PM, following specific guidelines pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roland's memory to St. Peter's Anglican Church, Westport, NL.
