It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Jacobs (Westport, Newfoundland), who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Jacobs and Florence Jacobs; his parents-in-law, Cyril and Susanna Jacobs; his siblings, Raymond Jacobs, Eric Jacobs (Shirley) and Marjorie Regular (Ted); and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Jacobs, Walter Jacobs, Harvey Jacobs, Baxter Jacobs, Gerald Jacobs (Shirley), Alex Jacobs, Lucy Jacobs, Blanche Hurley (Alex), Audrey Hewitt (John) and George Hewitt.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Jacobs of Westport, NL; his children, Mona Hewitt (Ewart) of Tumbler Ridge, BC, Susan Pilgrim (Larry) of King's Point, NL, Marion Applewaithe (Monty) of Toronto, ON, Lisa Gale (Robert) of Westport, NL, David Jacobs (Sharon) of Hopeall, NL and Lorraine Giordano (Carmine) of Loretto, ON; his grandchildren, Gregory (Sherri Lynn), Dawn (Frankie), Maxwell (Stephanie), Christopher (Kayla), Adrian, Jonathan, Larry (Sarah), Ryan (Danielle), Ashley, Melissa and Amanda; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Amber, Logan, Emma, Riley, Addison, Dylan, Brandon, Lena, Joshua and Serena; his siblings, Agnes Hewitt, Dulcie Hewitt, Hilda Jacobs and Allan Jacobs (Elizabeth); and his sisters-in-law, Sophie Jacobs, Millie Hewitt, Ethel Jacobs and Patricia Jacobs. He is also survived by 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Reverend George Critchell, assisted by Reverend Madonna Boone conducted the Funeral Service at St. Peters Anglican Church, Westport, NL on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at 12:00PM, following specific guidelines pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.
