He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Brookings and Vera Brookings; and his siblings, Frances Wheadon and Clyde. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Amanda (Patrick Fahey), Dean (Brenda) and Chris (Dianne Hogan); his grandsons, Jacob and Christopher; his brothers, Wallace (Jean) and Melvin; and his nephew Eddie Scott.
