It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladstone Herbert Best of Wesleyville, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 20, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey; his siblings, Bill (Neta), Clyde (Lily), Alex (Ella), Albert, Millicent (Robert), Alicia (Baxter) and Neta; and his grandson Dwayne.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond (Brenda) of Marystown, Keith (Kathy) of Wesleyville, Rodney (Goldie) of Port Williams, NS., Linda (Walter June) of Lumsden, Shirley (Roy) of Glovertown and Lisa (Michael) of Vacaville; his brothers, Fred of Clarenville and Bob of St. John's; his grandchildren, Carol, Roy, Erica, Jonathan, Steven and Cindy; his great grandchildren, Felix and Lucas; his stepgreat-granddaughter Carly; and also, Marcella (William) of St. John's, Joyce of St. John's, Irene (Walter) of Badger's Quay and Marguerite of Wesleyville.
Public visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 3 P. M - 5 P. M. and Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 2 P. M. - 4 P. M. 7 P. M. - 9 P. M. Visitation and Funeral service will be in accordance to COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to The Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
