He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon Jones and Lizzie Jones; his children, Tanya Russell (Rob), Bradley Jones (Lori-Ann) and Crystal Mercer (Wade); his grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua, Jacob, Dylan, Alyssa, Jaden, Jaxson, Tyler and Brady; his sister Freda Sheppard (Norman); his nieces and nephews, Gail Smith (Warren) and Darrell Sheppard (Sherri); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dakota, Savanna Sheppard, Brandon and Brent Smith.
