He was predeceased by: his aunts and uncles, Jean (Edwin), Winnie (Cecil), Judy (Dermott), Sharon and Gloria; his friend Samira Kohlmeister; his grandparents, Rudolph, Agnes Mercer, Alonzo and Rosella Porter; his aunts and uncles, Dennis Porter, Douglas Lynch, Geraldine, Doreen and Baby Karen Mercer (Sean); and his cousins, Lorne Porter and Amy Mercer.
He is survived by: his parents, Gordon Mercer and Sandra Mercer; his sister Kimberley; his brother-in-law Frank Dicker; his nieces and nephews, Chloe, Ethan, Kenny, Sandra and Amber; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brianna, Jewel, Jonathon, Samuel, James, Noah and Dax; his uncles, Billy (Muriel), Nelson (Diane), Ricky, Hubert (Kelly), Raymond (Edith), David, Greg (Marilyn) and Peter (Sandy); and also Aubrey Lynch, Jr..
A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Peter's Anglican Church.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to St. Peter's Anglican Church or to a Charity of One's Choice.
