It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Julia Penney of Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Hussey and Betty Hussey; her father-in-law Don Penney; her grandparents, William and Gladys Hussey; her great-grandparents, Cyril and Julia Coombs; and her brother-in-law John Mercer The.

She is survived by: her husband Dennis Penney; her children, Amanda (Ryan) and Bradley; her grandchildren, Nathan and Brooklynn; her sisters, Edith Mercer, Bernice Mercer (Robert), Sharon King (Rick) and Tracy Dyke (Johnny); her brothers-in-law, Steve (Jennifer) and Scott (Nancy); her nieces and nephews, Lori, Kelly Norman (Paul), Tammy Lee Stone (Patrick), Samantha Bartlett (Cory), Ally Noseworthy, Taylor Noseworthy, Jason Mercer, Chris Mercer (Heidi), Ricky King (Destiny), Evan Dyke, Myles (Claire), Ethan, Dylan and Tristan; and also Shirley Penney.
