Leander Mercer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2021, Leander Mercer of Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Ena Mercer (Tulk); his parents, Leander Sr. Mercer and Julia Mercer; his brother Howard Sr. Mercer; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Lussier (Paul), William Drover, Edward Tulk (Rose) and Gerald Tulk (Leah); his niece Linda Bishop; and his nephew Howard Jr. Mercer.

He is survived by: his close friend Patsy Greeley; his stepdaughter Jacqueline Greeley; his sister Violet Drover; his siblings-in-law, Ruby Mercer, Mona Crickard (Don) and Reg Tulk (Jean); his nieces and nephews, Frasier Drover (Heather), Douglas Drover (Zoe), Jaret Crickard (Sarah), Justin Crickard (Kayla), Reg Jr. Tulk (Lorraine), Yvonne Tulk (Varrick), Carolyn O'Connell (Chris), Joanne Ring (Bill) and Lorie Veale (Jeff); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Leonard Mercer (Lori), Nancy Fitzgerald (Chad), Adam Drover (Kaitlyn), Matthew Drover (Taylor), Mark Drover (Emily), Megan Brushett (Andrew), Lori Lynn McQuaker (Steward) and Angela Bishop; and also, Lacey, Joey, Carrie and Grace. He is also survived by relatives & friends.

In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery Memorial Fund.
