He was predeceased by: his wife Joan. He is survived by: his significant other Margaret Burton; his children, Wayne (Anita), Wendy Gagnon, Gordon (Alice), Grant (Betty) and Wade (Rhonda); and his great grandchildren, Walter Ostermaier of Burghausen and Germany.
Donations may be made in William's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
