It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Elizabeth Young of Twillingate, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 19, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband James Young; her parents, Sidney Freake and Stella Freake; and her sister Clarice Manuel. She is survived by: her children, Beverly Scott (Darl) and Jerry Young (Gwynn); her grandchildren, Timothy (Janine), Mathew (Kathryn), Steven and Sara; her great grandchildren, Pierce, Felix, Georgia and Nolan; and her friend Joan Lambert. She is also survived by father to her children and a beloved grandfather to her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Isles Funeral Home (2 Whitehorns Hill, Twillingate, NL A0G4M0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Central United Church.
