He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cooper and Lucy Cooper (Churchill); his wife Marie; his parents-in-law, George and Blanche Watkins; and his brother-in-law Howard.

He is survived by: his nephew Peter; his children, Cindy (Gary) and Rodney (Melanie); his granddaughters, Ann-Marie (Tim), Mallory and Macy (David); his stepgrandson Matthew (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Lucy and Iris; and his sister Bernice. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins.

Donations in Thomas' memory may be given to the Twillingate Public Library or to the Central United Church, Twillingate.
