He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Watkins and Ruby Watkins; his wife Dorothy; his brothers, Gilbert and Bruce Watkins; and his brothers-in-law, Otto Rogers and Eric Anstey.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff Watkins (Marina) and Angelia King (Spencer); his grandchildren, Tristan (Lesley) and Alexandra (Alex); his sisters, Geraldine Rogers and Pansy Anstey; and his sisters-in-law, Goldie Watkins and Clara Watkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donations in Ronald's memory may be given to the Central United Church, Twillingate.
