It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Otto S. Young (Twillingate, Newfoundland), who passed away on January 16, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Young and Sadie Young; his grandson Nicholas Young; and his sisters, Shirley Whitehorne (Lloyd), Doreen Head (Herbert) and Barbara Sargent (Jack).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Claudia Lipka (Lauren), Dean (Shirley), Dana Mercer, Darren (Kim), Darlene Keats (Stephen) and Debra Pond (Larry); his grandchildren, Weston, Adannah, Jason, Abigail (William), Caroline, Andrew, Courtney, Matthew (Allison) and Stephanie (Gregory); his great grandchildren, Hailey Jane, Nixon, Benjamin, Kelsey and Hayden; his sister Sylvia Goudie (Job); and his pets, Daisy, Sambo and Nova. He is also survived by cats; as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Donations in Otto's memory may be given the SPCA.

“Sending our sincere condolences to the Otto young’s family and friends.. so sorry for your loss. we had the privilege of meeting Otto about 7 years ago at his home in little hr. He welcomed us into his studio and we spend a very enjoyable hour or so.chatting to him. He truly made us feel welcome and not just taking up his time... we dropped in several times since then,whenever we going to twillingate. Last year we met his lovely wife Shirley and his cats. He had such a warm smile!! R.I.P Otto.”
