It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Wilfred Stanton Pond (Twillingate, Newfoundland), born in Durrell, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 5, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Pond and Mona Pond; his parents-in-law, Cecil and Eliza Wells; his siblings, Althea (Cyril), Daisy (Max), Louise (Stratt), Jack, Alma (Jack) and Arthur (Marie); and his granddaughter Melody Fudge.
He is survived by: his wife Netta Wells of Seldom; his children, Mona Fudge (Willie), Danny (Jackie), Edward (Tracy), Wayne (Michelle), Edgar (Audra) and Laurie (Wendy); and his sister-in-law Louise Pond. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 8 brothers and 1 sister, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Calvary Pentecostal Church (60 Rink Rd, Twillingate, NL A0G4M0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery Fund.
