She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence; her parents, Hannah Knell (Hull) and Thomas Knell; her siblings, Wilfred Knell and Mary Roberts; and her niece Cora Dove.

She is survived by: her children, Chesley (Ruth), Wilfred (Christine), Hannah, Barbara (Job), Elizabeth (Paul), Janette (Bruce), Lora (Guy) and Carolyn (Paul); her grandchildren, Tom, Kelly, Pamela, Shelley, Curtis, Zachary, Jeremy, Jared, Joshua, Suzen, Matthew, Jenny, Jason, Janique, Ghislain, Sarah and Rebekah; her great grandchildren, Calin, Isaac, Matt, Kate, Lily, Nick, Alexis, Hailey-Jane, Jaxon, Hope, Carrie, Madison, Caleb and Callie; and her nieces and nephews, Ruth Stuckless, Marie Jesso, Brenda Lambert, Lloyd and Jim Roberts. She is also survived by other nephews, nieces, extended relatives and friends.

In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel's honor may be given to the United Church Cemetery Fund, North Side.
