Edwin S. Hamlyn Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edwin S. Hamlyn (Twillingate, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 29, 2020 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edwin S. Hamlyn to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hamlyn and Delilah Hamlyn (Barnes); his former wife Rita (Hillier) of Ragged Point; his children, Violet and Jim; his siblings, Albert, Harry, Waldo and Marie (Young); and his siblings-in-law, Harvey Lambert, Mark Burton, Herb Young, Richard LeClerc, Delphine and Elsie.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Barry (Melita Price), Victor (Beverly Burton), Geraldine (Roy Earle), Loretta (Kevin Bartlett), Rosemarie (Gordon Burry) and Jacqueline (Lloyd Blake); his daughter-in-law Barbara (Stuckless); his siblings, Frank, Wilson (Rebecca), Johnny (Geraldine), Ruth, May, Jean and Shirley; and his siblings-in-law, Alan and Geraldine. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to either the North Side United Church Cemetery Fund or the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
