She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Gillard and Melita Gillard of Gillard's Cove, Twillngate.; her siblings, Doris Elliott, Pansy Gillard and Clayton Jenkins; her sister-in-law Mary Jo Gillard; and her nephew Perry Gillard.

She is survived by: her brother Elmo Gillard of Little Bay; and her nieces and nephews, Arthur Gillard, Elmo Gillard Jr., Cory Gillard, Harvey Elliott, Lorne Elliott, Garry Elliott, Gloria Gillard, Diane Elliott and Linda Rogers.

Donations in Daisy's memory may be given to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Newfoundland.
