He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Bemister and Virginia Bemister; and his siblings, Effie Whalen and Glen Bemister (Patricia). He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Draper and Keyon (Jenny); his grandchildren, Devon (Megan), Destiny, Ben and Alex; his siblings, Elizabeth Jenkins (Wallace), Jackie Rideout (Gary) and Baxter Jr. Bemister (Valerie); and his brother-in-law Ralph Whalen.
