She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Crocker and Elizabeth Crocker; and her siblings, Derick Crocker and Joan Crocker. She is survived by: her husband Johnny C. Barnes; her children, Rachel Barnes and Jerry Barnes; her granddaughters, Samantha Barnes, Veronica Barnes and Annie Lee Barnes; her great grandchildren, Damon Campbell, Nathan Green, Peyton Green, Christopher Green, Elijah Barnes and Carter Barnes; and her siblings, Loyal, Roy, Russ, Willis, Francis and Jason. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Verna's memory to the Alzheimer's Society.
