He was predeceased by: his parents, Denis Ryan and Catherine Ryan; his children, Elaine (Bruce Brophy), Rick and Darren Richard; his parents-in-law, Stephen, Hannah and Ita Critch; his brothers, Louis, Tom, John and Paschal; his siblings-in-law, Russell, Kenneth, Brian, Lawrence (Diane), Kathleen, Monnie (Phonse) and Marg (France); his close friend Bill Moores Leaving; his child Lou (Peg); his grandchildren, Stephen (Stephanie), Adam (Stephanie), Kaitlyn (Joe), Chris, Ryann Brophy (Noelle), Kathryn Brophy and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Nathan Richard, Benjamin, Phoebe and Reed; his siblings, Cyril and Rita; his sisters-in-law, Mary and Dianne; his friends, Ed Yetman, Derm Coombs, Ed Corrigan and Gerard Kennedy; and also, Stephen (Theresa), Eugene (Patsy), Ralph (Madonna), Anita (Harold), Betty (Eugene), Irene, Bernadette, Susan (Paul) and Colleen.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Ryan; and his son Louis.
