He was predeceased by: his parents, Carman Humphries and Johannah Humphries; his siblings, Lester Humphries, Anne Knight, Martin Humphries and Margaret Mitchell; his sister-in-law Margaret Humphries; his parents-in-law, Douglas and Margaret Gray; and his nephew Dean Gray.

He is survived by: his wife Ada Humphries (Gray); his children, Jeff (Sharon) and Joanne (Claude); his grandchildren, Patrick, Andrew (Lane), Jordan (Takeytha) and Chantel (Justin); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Alexis, Colton, Lucy and Emmerson; his siblings, Ray (Joyce), Lindsay and Emma (Don); his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth, Sherry (Bob), Carolann (Ken), Paul (Mary), Irvin, Vince and Walt (Heather); and his friends, Wood and Thelma. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
