He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine (Hanlon); his parents, James Brophy and Elizabeth Brophy; his siblings, Regina Riggs, Joan Carew, Ruth Fahey (late Philip), Marie Gosse (late Edmund), Paul, Clifton and Basil (late Lillian); and his siblings-in-law, Rita Hanlon and Leo Hanlon.

He is survived by: his children, Keith, Larry, Neil (Anita), Sharon (Barbara Ivany) and Michelle (Rob Brown); his grandchildren, Amanda Nugent (Matthew), Krista Hillier (Chris), Chantel Brophy, Brandon, Jordan Brophy, Aidan and Kathleen Brown; his great grandchildren, Owen, Ethan Nugent, Layla and Caleb Hillier; his close friend Margaret Crane; his siblings, Doreen Lester (Charles), Geraldine Cowan (late John), Jim (late Lorraine), John (Pauline) and Wayne (Theresa); and his siblings-in-law, Marion Joyce (late George), Catherine Hanlon, Charlotte Brophy, Tom Hanlon (Gail), Bill Hanlon (Denise), Dave Hanlon (Eileen), Hubert Hanlon (late Alice), Lawrence Hanlon, Danny Carew and Tom Riggs.
