It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas William Penney (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on June 22, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his children, Doug, Barry and Debbie (Greg); his parents, Alex Penney and Mary Penney; his siblings, Loretta (Ron), Rosiland, Ron (Dolores) and Richard; his parents-in-law, James and Louise Escott; and his siblings-in-law, Marg (Lee), Shirl (Bill), Beth (Jack), Loretta (Doug), Louise, Jim, Edward and Gerry.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly (Ed), Alex (Deanne), Sandra (Derrick) and Gerry (Karen); his grandchildren, Darcy, Melissa, Jamie, Kayla, Jeremy, Alexander, Derrick, Zachary, Stephanie, Jessica, Emily, Barry and Ben; his great grandchildren, Katelynn, Mark, Hailey, Amber, Madison, Jett, Mason, Jase, Rylan, Brianna and Nicholas; his great great grandchild Kal'el; his daughter-in-law Shelly Penney; his siblings, Roger and Dallas; his sisters-in-law, Liz Penney and Carolann (Fred); and his in-laws, Bev Escott and Bill Manning.
